Pacquiao vs. Mosley: A Look at CompuBox Numbers From Their Last 3 Bouts

Pacquiao's last three opponents include Antonio Margarito, Joshua Clottey and Miguel Cotto. Mosley's last three opponents were Sergio Mora, Floyd Mayweather Jr., and Margarito.

Styles make fights, but sometimes the CompuBox numbers can help tell the story of what might happen in the bout between the two welterweight stars.

Their similar opponent, Antonio Margarito, gives an interesting reflection on just how much power each boxer possesses. Pacquiao landed 474 out of 1069 punches, including 411/713 power shots, to win a unanimous decision.

Mosley landed 178 out of 507 punches, including 118 power shots and stopped "The Tijuana Tornado" in the ninth round. With nearly 300 power shots less than Pacquiao, Mosley was able to put the iron-chinned opponent away within the distance.

It must also be taken into account that Margarito had been caught trying to plaster his wraps before the Mosley bout. Who knows what that did to him mentally.

Pacquiao vs. Clottey: 246/1231 punches landed, including 232/682 power shots.

Pacquiao vs. Cotto: 336/780 punches landed, including 276/560 power shots

Mosley vs. Mora: 161/522 punches landed, including 124/331 power shots.

Mosley vs. Mayweather: 92/452 punches landed, including 46/169 power shots.
