Arshavin's official statement on Russia 2018 includes emoticons

This whole post is really just an excuse to share this picture. 

Since the moment Russia was awarded the 2018 World Cup, the better part of the universe has held its collective breath in anticipation of the great Andrei Arshavin expressing his delight in verbal and/or emoticon form on his inimitably awesome official website.

Well, the waiting is over. You can finally suck in the sweet air of Arshavin's earth.

The World Cup 2018 will be held in Russia!
AA: I always feel proud of our country. But today, after Mr. Blatter announced that Russia had won the right to host the World Cup 2018, I experienced a tremendous feeling of joy. Joy for my homeland, for my countrymen. Russians deserve this football festival in our country. It's great that this joy is all around. Immediately after this historic decision had been made, I received a lot of congratulatory sms messages, by the way, this time I received them even more than when I scored four goals at Anfield :)

As I’ve said before, in case our bid wins, we will hold this championship at the highest possible level. We were entrusted with the right to host the World Cup 2018. We will not let you down. There will be a great holiday! :)

Forget Vladimir Putin. Arshavin is in charge here and he won't let you down. Just as long as you're not a woman hoping to drive him somewhere. :)
