NFL Picks Week 16: WIth Playoffs in Sight, Giants Travel to Green Bay

Why New York Could Win: With Aaron Rodgers returning from his second concussion of the season, it's a safe bet that the Pro-Bowl quarterback will be looking to avoid the big hit. The Giants could throw a wrench in the works as their defensive line is arguably tops in football. Osi Umenyiora, Justin Tuck and others will force Aaron Rodgers to deliver the ball early or suffer the consequences. Add in the fact that Green Bay lacks a running game to take the pressure off of their quarterback and it could be a long day for Packer fans.

Why Green Bay Could Win: A week ago with Matt Flynn at quarterback, the Packers were one clock mismanagement away from defeating the Patriots. Now in a win-or-go-home situation, Green Bay will look to defeat the Giants and force a virtual tie for the final wild card slot. Offensive coordinator Joe Philbin will likely tinker with the offense to run more quick slants and screen passes in an attempt to take some pressure off of Rodgers, but the onus will be on his receivers to gain yardage after the catch. Both defenses should perform well so it will be the ability of the offenses to break off a big play that could decide a winner.

Prediction: 22-17 Giants.
