Rio Ferdinand sells 'SoccerXizer' with dumb American in viral video

Energy provider and FA sponsor E.ON put together this sneaky bit of viral marketing that claims to be an infomercial taped off a U.S. hotel room TV. In it, Rio Ferdinand is paired with a pasty creeper named Frankie to sell the "SoccerXizer" -- a workout machine ("imported from Mexico") that Rio helped design and owes his career to.

The joke, of course, is that Americans like translucent Frankie are hilariously ignorant to "U.K. captain of the national team and star of the Manchester Red Devils, Mr. Raoul Ferdinand" and all things related to the soccerball game. It's subtle and hard to pick up, I know. (Actual subtlety: Is that phone number in the bottom left corner a dig at England fans who call Frank Lampard fat?)

Seriously, though, it is pretty funny and well executed and Rio puts in a solid bit of acting (he is acting, right?). Also, it's horrifyingly accurate.
