Balotelli didn’t know his Naples tour guides were gangsters

Keeping up with the surreal adventures of Mario Balotelli is a difficult task, even for Mario Balotelli. Which is why he was shocked to discover that he was named in a June 2010 police report for walking through the drug-dominated Scampia district in Naples with two members of organized crime clans as his tour guides.

From Football Italia:

"I had absolutely no idea who those people were," declared Balotelli this evening.

"That day in Naples there were many people around me. I am astonished and disappointed, especially for the effect this news story could have on my family."

According to sources close to the striker, Balotelli wanted to visit the places that were made famous by award-winning film 'Gomorra.'

That's right. Mario had absolutely no idea that he was with members of the crime syndicate while strolling through an area that is so notorious for being controlled by the Camorra that they made a movie about it. And yet, this was just another day in the life Mario Balotelli. You know you're jealous.
