Rafael Nadal and Roger Federer meet in 2011 French Open Final

Tennis fans got exactly what they wanted Friday afternoon. The pieces all fell perfectly together. When both semi-finals were through, two players that have been the best in tennis for what seems like forever would match wits once again.

Novak Djokovic, the red hot Serb, has fallen at Roland Garros. The great streak of 41 straight matches ends at exactly that number.

There was just too much too contend with in the semi-finals for Djoker. He fall behind two sets, leaving a mountainous climb against a cunning opponent like Federer.

It too four sets, but Roger Federer returns to meet up with Rafael Nadal. Nadal, for his part, looked very much the old player that dominated the field.

He came into the French Open a bit shoddy, but he shined up quite well as of late. He trounced Andy Murray quickly, and steps in to the Final with confidence.

Not only will we see a classic match, it is looking ever more to be a great sporting one. Both tennis stars are hitting their stride coming into the final.

They are playing smart precise tennis. It will take a brilliant performance from either one to trump the other. Sunday will feature a very familiar sight.

You can bet that this chapter in their feud will be one for the ages.
