Game Point: Rafa to become underwear model; Hingis marries

Game Point is Busted Racquet's roundup of facts, figures and links from around the web.

Love -- After her unsuccessful climb to the summit of Mt. Kilimanjaro, Martina Navratilova put her efforts into perspective. She told The Washington Post's Liz Clarke:

"I've always said, 'The only failure is when you fail to try.' The other failure would be not giving your best effort. And I feel I did both: I tried and gave my very best effort. It just wasn't meant to be."

Spoken like a true champion. Read the whole article.

15 -- Starting in February, Rafael Nadal will become a new spokesmodel for Armani underwear. [Insert your own wedgie joke.]

30 -- There's a chance Kim Clijsters and Justine Henin will join together to play doubles at the 2012 Olympics in London. The Belgians would have to work out scheduling issues (here's my tip: don't schedule anything during the Olympics) in order for the pairing to happen. Clijsters has said 2012 will be her last competetive season. You know, because the world is ending and all.

40 -- Martina Hingis married France's top show jumper this weekend in a private civil ceremony in Paris. From People magazine: "Hingis and Thibault Hutin, 24, met at a show-jumping competition in St. Tropez in April, shortly after she broke off a long-term engagement to Swiss attorney Andreas Bieri."

Game -- Pete Sampras didn't have any of his stolen trophies insured.
