Video: Isles goalie Mikko Koskinen's stellar save on Wisniewski

The feel-good story of the Thursday night had to be Mikko Koskinen of the New York Islanders.

The 6-foot-6 rookie gave up his first NHL goals on the first two NHL shots he faced on Tuesday vs. the Toronto Maple Leafs. Tonight against the Montreal Canadiens, he not only won in the shootout but made this killer save on ex-Islander James Wisniewski:

It's Wisniewski staring at the goal line, completely baffled, that really clinches it for this highlight. Bouncing puck, tough to control, but a great stop, too.

Huge save by Koskinen, and an important one, too, as Michael Grabner would soon tie the game for the Isles. New York won in the shootout, 4-3, giving Koskinen his first NHL victory; and all it took were three significant injuries, a trade and a goalie who's sitting at home instead of playing for the Islanders to make it happen.
