2011 NFL Schedule May Result in Postponed Super Bowl
Despite the labor uncertainty that is surrounding the NFL's upcoming season, the plans to release the 2011 NFL schedule will go on as planned.
According to the Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Abbott, NFL commissioner Roger Goodell told Cleveland Browns season tick holders that the 2011 NFL schedule will be released within10 days.
The Plain Dealer's Tony Grossi reports (@TonyGrossi):
"#NFL's Goodell said there is contingency to postpone Super Bowl 1 wk and cut 1 wk prior to it, if need be because of labor uncertainty. #nfl"
As the pending dispute continues to drag on without any signs of coming to a resolution, it's not very promising to hear that the league is already preparing itself for a delayed Super Bowl XLVI.
It's always a good idea to be prepared. But the thought of a shortened season and a delayed Super Bowl is just turning into a worrisome scenario for fans.
