Jose Mourinho gave Crouch a pat on the back for getting sent off

...and it looks like Crouch stole Mourinho's wallet at exactly the same time.

Harry Redknapp got mugged in Madrid yet again, this time losing 4-0 to Real thanks in part to Peter Crouch getting booked twice and sent off after just 15 minutes. And as Crouch walked his spindly legs back to the dressing room, Jose Mourinho was kind enough to offer him a consoling pat on the back. Or, as I like to imagine it, an ironic and dismissive gesture to try and distract Crouch from his attempts to hold back roars of laughter.

After Real Madrid completed their 90 minute live snuff show, Mourinho told the press, "Peter Crouch lost his way a bit." Now, this is a man known for precision in selecting his words, so you'd be safe in assuming that was an intentional comedic understatement. But according to Michael Dawson, Crouch "apologized to the lads" in the dressing room. And I doubt he gave Mourinho his wallet back.
