Shops in Naples making hilarious efforts to profit off Napoli’s success

Napoli's breakthrough success this season has them in the hunt for their first Serie A title since 1990. Sitting just three points behind AC Milan in the table, belief in the side is high -- even Ireland manager Giovanni Trapattoni says they can win the Scudetto this season. Given that, more than a few local businesses have decided to try and cash in on "Napoli fever." Here are some of their lamest and most hilarious efforts...

With 25 goals already this season, new addition Edinson Cavani is just one behind Antonio Di Natale for the Serie A lead -- so his name is obviously as good as gold. So, here's a cup of cappuccino with a cinnamon "7" on top. Boom -- it's "Cappuccino Cavani."

It's immediately obvious that these glasses are not the same worn by Napoli manager Walter Mazzarri. But they are glasses. And he wears glasses. So stop nitpicking and buy them already.

Football club themed baby gear is nothing new, but these pacifiers are fantastic. You have the "Baby Matador" (Cavani's nickname), the "Baby Pocho 22" for Ezequiel Lavezzi's infant fans and, of course, the "Baby Hamsik" for any child that has the ability to unhinge its jaw and swallow a pacifier whole.

Finally, this is by far my favorite astonishingly lazy attempt to profit off Napoli's winning ways. Ladies and gentlemen, I give you marketing genius at work...

Is the sausage made out of Cavani? Does it contain seven different spices? Is it the only sausage he'll eat before a match? Who knows. But judging by the quality, handmade sign, I'd guess that butcher was having a cigarette before opening that morning and thought, "Hey. Why not?"
