Argentina’s Copa America 2011 mascot is unsettling at best

This is Suri. Suri is the official mascot of this year's Copa America in Argentina. Suri is a rhea -- a flightless bird (called a "suri" in the Quechua language spoken in Peru and Bolivia) similar to an ostrich. Suri is not named after Tom Cruise's daughter.

Granted, there have been far more horrifying mascots, but between the freaky long neck, the giant eyes, the wonky knees and what appears to be Martin Scorsese's eyebrows, Suri could fuel more than a few nightmares during the tournament. Also, I'm pretty sure Suri is Peter Crouch's long-lost twin brother.
