Clemens' legal team is seeking "interview summaries, notes and memoranda" related to the House Committee on Oversight and Government Reform's hearing into performance-enhancing drugs in Major League Baseball. The subpoena also asks for any communications between 20 individuals interviewed by subcommittee investigators, a list that includes former major leaguers Jose Canseco, Chuck Knoblauch and Andy Pettitte, former friend and personal trainer Brian McNamee and four doctors.
The Reform Committee -- which is now headed by Rep. Darrell Issa, R-Calif. -- has been asked to produce the documents at a hearing in U.S. District Court on March 14. The subpoena was drafted by Michael Attanasio, Clemens' co-counsel, and signed by a U.S. District Court clerk on Thursday.
